Indonesia Mini Hydropower Project Opportunity For CKNet-INA members Only

June 16, 2011

The secretariat was approached by a Dutch Consultant to find out if there are CKNet members interested in setting up and developing a mini-hydropower Plan Project in Indonesia. They have identified some financial sources to finance this project (Dutch Government)

If you are interested and have the required experiences please send a resume of similar projects that you have carried out and CVs of key personnel relevant for the project to the CKNet-INA secretariat in Jakarta by e-mail (secretariat@cknet-ina.org) latest 15 July 2011.

It would be extremely helpful if you (CKNet-INA) can identify a suitable project location and submit it together with the resume latest 15 July 2011. A suitable project location should meet, as much as possible, the following criteria:
  • Remote area without electricity, far from the national electricity grid;
  • there should be people living there, like 5,000 - 10,000 people;
  • there should be a river where we can install a mini-hydropower plant. The level difference after construction of a small dam can be quit small for our technology (4-10m);
  •   the location and soil structure should be suitable to construct a small dam.
You are allowed or better encourage forming association with other CKNet-INA members who have the required expertise. This opportunity opened for CKNet-INA members only, list of members can be seen on: http://cknet-ina.org/index.php?menu=member&mod=network

Looking forward to receiving your proposal

Many thanks.

Secretariat CKNet-INA
