Inkorporasi Perspektif Gender Dalam Pengembangan Rekayasa Alat Dan Mesin Pertanian

Dalam perjalanan sejarah pembangunan di Indonesia, sumber daya manusia (SDM) laki-laki dan perempuan dinyatakan sebagai sumber daya insani pembangunan yang partisipasinya sangat diharapkan untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan keluarga Indonesia. Namun demikian, sejarah juga mencatat bahwa kebijakan pembangunan yang selama ini dinyatakan bersifat netral, dalam implementasinya sering terjadi ketimpangan gender yang selanjutnya mengarah kepada ketidakadilan gender. Ketimpangan gender mengacu pada keadaan, di mana salah satu pihak (misalnya antara laki-laki vs perempuan, kelompok tua vs kelompok berumur muda, kelompok kaya vs kelompok miskin) lebih baik kondisinya dibandingkan pihak lainnya. Sedangkan ketidakadilan gender mengacu kepada situasi, di mana salah satu pihak gender telah dirugikan. Sebagai contoh adalah kondisi tingkat pendidikan kepala rumah tangga yang berusaha di bidang pertanian. Rata-rata pendidikan mereka masih rendah, tetapi persentase tingkat pendidikan perempuan yang rendah lebih besar dibandingkan dengan laki-laki.
