UNEP-DHI PARTNERSHIP: WATER QUALITY WEBINARS

UNEP-DHI Partnership presents a series of 6 webinars that gives you an introduction to the basic challenges and issues related to water quality. The purpose of the webinars is to improve awareness on the importance of water quality and the understanding of why water quality is a vital element in Sustainable Development Goals.

The topic of the first webinar is Global Goals and Lessons Learned: The importance of water quality for environment and health and for the Sustainable Development Goals.Presentations will draw on lessons learned from a water quality project in India and from the EU Water Framework Directive, amongst others.

Agenda for first webinar in Water Quality Webinar Series is as follows: 

- Peter Koefoed Bjoernsen, UNEP-DHI: How is Water Quality related to global water targets such as the MDG’s or the future SDG’s?
Interview with Joachim Harlin, Water sector expert, UNDP
- Joergen Krogsgaard, DHI: Working with water quality – an example from India
- Jesper Dannisoe, DHI: Water Framework Directive as a framework for water quality - policy and management

The webinar series are implemented in cooperation between the UNEP-DHI Partnership and DHI.

All webinars are individual sessions will cover different aspects of learning about water quality. All sessions will be recorded and will be made available online at www.unepdhi.org.
