International Training of Trainers in Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management

Training Course Announcement


SaciWATERs-CapNet Network (SCaN) in collaboration with seecon international gmbh offers a 5-day Training-of-Trainers Course in
Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management (SSWM), with the support of Cap-Net. The course is now open for registration.

Hyderabad, India.  


Target Audience

The training course is designed for:

  • Academia,
  • Central,
    State and Local government units,
  • Non-governmental
    organisations (NGOs) and civil society groups dealing with water management and
    sanitation issues,
  • Engineers
    and practitioners from the private sector as well as individuals dealing with
    water and sanitation issues.


An important aspect of the training is the application of the SSWM Toolbox to support training and teaching initiatives in the field of water management and
sanitation. Moreover the training course aims at increasing coordination and networking amongst the various relevant sectors and ministries (e.g. water, health, agriculture, environment etc.) at the national level  



Program/Content

The course provides:

  • Basic knowledge in Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management.
  • Information on SSWM planning and implementation tools and measures.
  • Information on how to use the SSWM Toolbox as a learning and teaching support as well as a resource for planning and implementing SSWM measures.


The SSWM Toolbox (http://www.sswm.info/) is an online learning and implementation support tool linking water management and
sustainable sanitation, showing how the different activities are interlinked, throughout the project planning and implementation cycle.
