Water Related Risk Management International Seminar

Indonesian Association of Hydraulics Engineering (HATHI) as one of the most leading professional organizations in the country and also as the agent of change in the field of water resources and coastal engineering is prompted to contribute in resolving the problems and reducing the impact of water related risk. Together with the Ministry of Public Works, Greater Jakarta City Government, IAHR, and HATHI intent to invite scientists, practitioners and professionals in the field of water resources and coastal engineering from all over the world to exchange experiences and expose their reserach results in this seminar.

This course is intended to introduce general concepts and the practical application of Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) as an instrument for adaptation to climate change. The course will be provided with the skill and knowledge in the concept, strategies, developments and guidance on the use of IWRM principles and function, particularly at the river basin level for adaption to climate change manifestations and impacts.

Material Workshop
The workshop  materials are based on the needs of the PDAM and the local governments throughout Indonesia based on facts, observations and researches that had been undertaken by CKNet-INA.


The facilitators at this workshop are involving professionals, practitioners, lecturers who are experienced in project and policy related to sustainable water supply and sanitation in Indonesia.


The workshop was organized by CKNet Indonesia, a network of capacity building (Capacity Building), which consists of 10 universities in Indonesia: Universitas Andalas, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Bina Nusantara, Bandung Institute of Technology, Parahyangan Catholic University, Diponegoro University, University of Gajah Mada, Universitas Merdeka , Institute of Technology Surbaya and University of Hasanuddin, in collaboration with:

    * UNESCO-IHE Delft, the Netherlands
    * CapNet / UNDP, South Africa
    * AguaJaring, Malaysia
    * PT. IHE Indonesia

Workshop participants:
Number of participants 25 people maximum.
Certificates will be given by CKNet Indonesia for participants who have attended and completed the tasks at this workshop.
