Call for Project : Educational Module on Integrated Flood Management Part II

Dear CKNet-Ina members,

Greetings from the Secretariat!


We are pleased to inform you that IHE Indonesia/CKNet-Ina received a grant from the DGIS - UNESCO-IHE Programmatic Cooperation Fund and CapNet/UNDP for the development of an Educational Module on Integrated Flood Management Part II. The module aims to increase awareness and understanding of flood managers and decision makers by providing the concept of Integrated Flood Management, particularly non-structural measures, probabilistic design and flood disaster management.

Therefore we would like to invite CKNet-Ina registered member (attached) to participate in the development of an Educational Module on Integrated Flood Management Part II.  A training manual, power point presentations and facilitators guide will be developed in the English language.

Participants for the module development will be selected from CKNet-Ina members and if necessary, external consultants. The participants should have ample working experiences in Hydraulic or Flood Engineering/Management and/or lecturing this topic. Required academic and professional backgrounds of the participants are:

 

  1. Academic background in Civil Engineering preferably in Hydraulic Engineering
  2. Professional relevant experiences related to Hydraulic or Flood Engineering/Management. Design of minimal 3 – 5   years is preferable.
  3. Proficiency in the English Language, particularly writing is essential.

 

Please submit the attached registration form to CKNet-Ina Secretariat at the latest on 10 October 2011, if you are interested to be a candidate for the module development.

Please note that any application submitted after 10 October 2011 WILL NOT be considered.
