The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is an international scientific institute that conducts research into the critical issues of global environmental, economic, technological, and social change.
Since 1977, IIASA’s annual 3-month Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) offers research opportunities to talented young researchers whose interests correspond with IIASA’s ongoing research on issues of global environmental, economic and social change.Funding is provided through IIASA’s National Member Organizations.

FLOODrisk2016 welcomes submissions from all areas with relevance to flood risk. Prospective authors can submit abstracts on the topics outlined via the conference website; www.floodrisk2016.net/authors/ until 2nd September 2015. Authors will be notified of acceptance for either oral or poster presentation by 4th November 2015. Abstracts that contribute to the theme of the conference are especially encouraged. Both oral and poster presentations will be published as full-length papers in the proceedings.

Adaptation Futures is the biennial conference of PROVIA (Global Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation). In 2016 the European Commission and the Government of the Netherlands will co-host the fourth edition. The programme of the conference will offer a variety of plenary and parallel sessions, round tables, excursions, exhibition, side events and back-to-back meetings.
